- What kind of companies does Blackpeak work with?
- A wide range: from founders of start-ups raising their first institutional round to established companies with tens of millions of euro in revenue preparing a strategic acquisition or an exit. Most clients are founder- or family-owned businesses and their management teams in Central and Eastern Europe, and most mandates involve international buyers or investors.
- Which sectors does Blackpeak cover?
- Blackpeak is a generalist adviser with particular depth in gaming and betting, distribution and logistics, technology, health tech, fintech, aviation and food. Sector knowledge helps with buyer lists and valuation benchmarks; transaction skills carry across sectors.
- How does Blackpeak charge?
- Usually a monthly retainer plus a success fee payable on completion. The split and the levels depend on the type and size of the transaction and are agreed before the mandate starts. Aligning most of the fee with completion keeps our interests with the client’s. For advisory and management-consulting work that is not tied to a transaction, such as transaction readiness or board support, we can also work on an hourly or daily rate.
- Where does Blackpeak work?
- Blackpeak is based in Sofia and works across Central and Eastern Europe. Mandates regularly involve counterparties from Western Europe, the United States and the wider region, and the team runs cross-border processes in English.
